Portrait Price List and Contract/Order Form
Graphite
Pencil Portrait: 11” X 14”, one image with
plain background- $400.00
Add $400.00 per image (size will vary depending on number of
images)
Complex background: price will vary depending on complexity
of background. Price will be quoted after artist views photos that
include desired background.
Colored
Pencil Portrait:

image with monochromatic colored background- $800.00

Complex
background: price will vary depending on complexity of background
11” X 14” portraits will have a ½”
white boarder to allow for matting and framing. The base price
includes one image, a plain background (Graphite Portraits will be
shaded dark to lighter from the bottom of the portrait to the top,
Colored Pencil Portraits will have a monochromatic, or one shade
of your chosen background color, going from darker to lighter,
from the bottom of the portrait to the top). The darker shading
towards the bottom of the portrait creates a sense of depth in the
finished picture. Portrait includes head, neck, shoulders, and
portion of the upper body and clothing if desired. More complex
images that include more of the body, arms, hands and complex or
multi colored or patterned clothing can be included at an
additional cost. Please allow at least two weeks after receipt of
photos and deposit for completion of your portrait. You will be
advised if more time is needed to complete the work. Your order
can be expedited (if possible) for an additional fee.
Shipping, handling, and insurance will be billed to the
client with final payment. Please feel free to contact us with
questions, or for additional information.
New- Portraits in Watercolor and Ink!:
Portraits are also now available in watercolor and ink (examples
are "JB and Milo", California Dreaming - 1950", and "Shells and
Flowers"). Size is 6"X9" and prices start at $200.00 for one
image with plain background. Additional images (another person
or animal) are $200.00 per image, and complex backgrounds can be
added for additional cost. Size may vary depending on amount of
images.
What
Therese Needs from You to Get Started on Your Portrait
Therese will need a clear black and white or
colored photograph for a graphite pencil portrait, or a colored
photograph for a colored pencil portrait. The image should be at
least 8” X 10” or larger, and clearly show the image desired
for the portrait. The photograph/s can be emailed, or mailed to
the artist. If photo/s are mailed, they will be returned with the
finished portrait.
A
non-refundable deposit of 50% of the full cost of the
portrait, along with a signed contract. Please make checks payable
to Cardiff Cards.
